That Fading Flower

I tried my best to discover what flower this is, crawled the flower & flowering shrubs pages for southern Ontario in hopes of discovering its roots (pardon the pun). Nothing, so if you happen to be a botanist and happen to know then drop a line in the comment. Enjoy your Sunday folks…
