Katkas Baptism Part One

"I was baptized alongside my mother when I was 8 years old. Since then I have tried to walk a Christian life. And now that I'm getting older I realize that I'm walking even closer with my God."
~ Andy Griffith

Katka stands out of view of the congregation reviewing her testimony and awaiting her turn in the baptismal tank. Leaving most of the faithful dripping wet on the other side but filled with joy and new hope for their lives.

I met Katka almost 6 years ago during my 3 week stay in the Czech Republic. It was the first time I had returned to my home land alone. Though I was staying with my sister & niece in their two bedroom apartment their daily commitments kept them on the go & me mostly alone. Fortunately Katka was off of school and kind enough to dig up some bikes and take me on an almost daily tour of the local country side… continued part two
