Early Morning Portrait

"When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves."
~ William Arthur Ward

I have been cataloging my images in the brief and very rare moments of peace I’ve had this past month. I took this photograph of Trevor after we had hiked up to one of the highest points along the edges of the Georgian Bay to catch a¬†sunrise that did not disappoint. I think this photograph captures Trevor with the best possible background behind him. The combination of earth, nature and the wide open sky lend themselves to the passion he has for flight and his willingness to always entertain a hike, bike ride or any connection to nature.

This photo is my favorite one from a quick study I did on that rock. I did a series with Trevor looking out at the water and then back at the land and though there are a few good shots I gravitated towards the one you see here.
