Triple Jump, 3,2,1

"'Remember what Bilbo used to say: It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."
~ J.R.R. Tolkien

“So are you guys out here every weekend?”

“Naa, more like every day. Okay guys, triple jump. 3… 2… 1… go.”

I finally found Georgetown’s local watering hole about 5 minutes down the road by car. These three young boys were keeping cool, passing away the summer and of course showing off to a group of girls by jumping off the dams flood gate supports into the 4 feet of current below.

They were all to happy to let me know that the bottom was only 4 feet below as the shortest of the three struggled to not be swept away as he told me that he in fact was touching bottom with his shoes.

I have to remember to bring a towel and swim trunks next time I visit.
