Water droplets

"The dew of compassion is a tear. "
~ Lord Byron

Now that I have stared at this photograph long and hard I have to admit that the depth of field should have included the three middle drops in focus. The eye is pulled far too strongly to the center of the photograph to be effective. It is a lesson to me to not be too lazy to test the aperture before taking the shot.

*staring at the photo*

Yup, definitely to shallow a depth of field in my honest opinion.

So I have had my friend Andrew Moore on my mind the last few days. I think it is a combination of the Thoreau kick and the hikes in the woods. I also stumbled across a poem he wrote for me on my twenty-first birthday. A tale of late nights and Tim Hortons shifts and a million milse of wandering left to go. That was over nine years and a thousand dreams ago and you have to envy how naive we were to think that nothing would ever change…
