A view from the powder tower

"The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition."
~ Alan Alda

Looking out the first story window of the powder tower (Prašná brána) in Prague. This was my first time climbing this tower and thus a new outlook on the city.

Side story: I try to give people plenty of grace in this world, HOWEVER, the woman attending the 2nd floor table made it very hard. I understand that she has to put up with a boat load of tourists doing what they please but me & my tripod are no threat to the tower. She had asked me not to use my tripod and since I stick to my word I wasn’t going to. None the less I was trailed by her and a bitter scowl accompanied by the reminder that I shouldn’t be up there with it. There is a Czech colloquialism about bums and boils that would have fit her.

I contemplated the idea of going up and down the twisting steps a number of times to ensure her 50 plus year old frame got a workout but scrapped that idea as mean. Instead as I stood there shooting the museum I told her that I understood she was doing her job,but there was no need for her to be as unpleasant as humanly possible. This did not help her attitude.
