Science in the Pub: Mars

"Every day, we get a little bit closer to the kind of expertise and the kind of experience we're going to need to go there. I'd love to be the guy walking on Mars."
~ John L. Phillips

Christopher P. Mckay of NASA’s Ames Research Center listens as (from left to right) Donna Shirley, Wilson da Silva and Dan Falk discuss the future of manned Mars missions.

Part of the Quantum to Cosmos festival that took place at the Perimeter Institute in the Kitchener, Waterloo Ontario. Science in the Pub was literally an open discussion and question period hosted at a local watering hole.

I came back from the event to find Opal in rough shape. Thus my non-existent posting over the past few days. I spent the next two days with her at the Grand River Hospital before the final verdict of H1N1 was passed. Her health is on the upswing finaly and hopefully we can all resume a normal course.
